Pastor Delmar Alan White currently serves as the Senior Pastor of the New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas. Pastor White has over 35 years of experience in the Preaching Ministry and over twenty-five years of service in Pastoral Ministry. Pastor White is also a Certified Grief and Loss Counselor through the Midwest Counseling Department.  He also serves as a Grief Support Specialist at Midland Hospice of Topeka, Kansas. Pastor has served as an Hermeneutics / Homiletics Adjunct Professor at Western Baptist Bible College.  As a guest lecturer at the University of Kansas African American Studies Department, Pastor White dealt with the topic Black Sacred Music and the Black Church.

Pastor White has earned his Associates of Arts Degree-Christian Education and his Bachelors of Arts Degree. He has 39 hours of matriculation at Central Baptist Theological Seminary toward his Master of Divinity Degree.  He has also received his certification from the E. K. Bailey Expository Preaching Conference in Dallas, Texas.  Pastor has tentative been acceptance into Fuller Theological Seminary’s doctoral studies program.

His awards include Who’s Who Among Young Gifted Clergy, M. L. K. Citizen of the Year Award, and Department of Corrections Citizen of the Year Award from the State of Kansas.

His community service includes serving as the Former President of the local Chapter of the Topeka Branch of the NAACP, as well as serving on the Citizen’s Advisory Board Topeka Police Department.  He is a Board Member for the Boy’s and Girl’s Club Topeka, Kansas, as serves as a Board Member of the Visiting Nurses Association of Lawrence, Kansas.  He has also been appointed to the  Governors Judicial Review Board, Juvenile Justice Board, Community Corrections Counsel Board, and the Educational Review Board for the State of Kansas.

Pastor White has been married to Carmen L. White for over 35 years. They have three adult children including son Courtney Sharrod White and daughters Tiandr’e Nicole Miller and Kimberly Denise White.
